Battery

  • 7,700mAh

  • 45W turbo charging

  • Xiaomi claims more than two days of battery life under its test conditions.

2. Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G

This is where the series becomes considerably more premium.

Display

  • 6.83-inch 1.5K CrystalRes AMOLED

  • 120Hz-class high-refresh display

  • Eye-care features

Processor

  • 67W HyperCharge

  • Xiaomi describes it as capable of going beyond two days under its internal testing.

Durability

One of the biggest upgrades is the body protection:

  • Gorilla Glass Victus 2

  • Up to 3-meter certified drop resistance

  • IP66/IP68/IP69/IP69K protection in applicable markets.

Xiaomi also says the Pro has been tested for a 60-month "like-new" software experience, although that is a laboratory testing claim rather than a guarantee that performance will remain identical for five years.

3.  Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G

This is the flagship of the Note 17 family.

Battery — the headline feature

10,000mAh battery

That's enormous for a mainstream smartphone.

It supports:

  • 100W HyperCharge

  • Xiaomi claims up to around 3 days of use under its internal testing scenario

  • IP66/IP68/IP69/IP69K

  • 2-meter/72-hour certified water resistance under specified laboratory conditions.

Xiaomi describes the 10,000mAh capacity as the largest battery among its smartphones at the time of launch.

Performance

The Pro Max uses the:

Snapdragon 6 Gen 5

This is the most powerful processor in the Note 17 family.

It is aimed at people who want:

  • Better gaming performance

  • Faster multitasking

  • Longer-term usability

  • Better performance with demanding applications

Display

  • 6.83-inch

  • 1.5K resolution

  • CrystalRes AMOLED

  • High refresh rate

  • High brightness

  • Eye-care features

Durability

The Pro Max gets:

  • IP66

  • IP68

  • IP69

  • IP69K

  • 3-meter certified drop resistance

  • Stronger display protection

So Xiaomi is making durability one of the defining characteristics of the Pro models.

🔋 Battery comparison

This is arguably the biggest selling point of the entire generation:

Note 17: 7,700mAh → 45W
Note 17 Pro 5G: 8,340mAh → 67W
Note 17 Pro Max 5G: 10,000mAh → 100W

For comparison, the Pro Max's battery is considerably larger than what you normally find even in many premium Android phones.

The Pro models add more advanced imaging hardware and Xiaomi's AI photography features. Xiaomi specifically highlights tools such as Professional Erase and AI reflection removal on the higher-end models.
